Since 1980, we've built an excellent reputation with certified masters teaching character-focused, fun, and effective self-defense training, all with a flexible schedule to fit your busy life.

Young Park Martial Arts was founded in 1980 in Korea by Master Young Park, a celebrated Taekwondo champion with over thirty national and provincial titles. His expertise, dedication, and efficient training methods quickly established Young Park Taekwondo as one of the most prestigious martial arts schools in Busan, producing martial artists of the highest caliber.
Seeking a new challenge, Master Park immigrated to Canada in 1993 with the goal of sharing his martial arts expertise and passion with a more diverse audience. The tradition of excellence carried on at the “New” Young Park Martial Arts, and in 1994, he was honored to become the coach of the Canadian National Taekwondo Team.

From 1994 to 1996, Grand Master Park guided Team Canada to numerous victories at the World Taekwondo Championships and Pan-Am Games.
